A George III inlaid mahogany secretaire bookcase from the last quarter of the 18th Century. The moulded cornice above Gothic arched astragal glazed doors, enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with fitted drawer above three graduated drawers, on splayed bracket feet. This bookcase can be seen here in a drawing room by the fireplace, but it could work equally well in a study or dining room or on a landing.
