About Sam

Sam began her career with Scott Dunn Travel, designing tailormade holidays across Southeast Asia. This sparked a lasting fascination with how hospitality, design and storytelling combine to create meaningful experiences — principles that continue to guide her work today.

After retraining as a teacher, followed by an extended period to raise her four children, Sam returned to work pursuing her lifelong love of interiors. She worked as a director at an interior design studio before qualifying professionally at the industry renowned KLC School of Design in London. She went on to launch Danebury in 2024.

As both a designer and a mother, Sam designs homes that balance elegance with practicality, can adapt to the rhythm of family life and, above all, bring calm and joy. Known for her thoughtful, methodical approach and meticulous attention to detail, she brings clarity and cohesion to every project, guiding clients and collaborators with warmth and focus.

Katie Bolton

Katie grew up immersed in interior design as the daughter of a respected project manager and designer. She built a career in London at a senior level in financial communications, working with listed companies in the consumer sector, before spending more than a decade in Hong Kong raising her family. It was there that she began exploring her love of antiques and decorative objects, later returning to the UK to renovate her own listed home. Keen to introduce a sense of layering and interest to the rooms, she sourced antiques throughout and the finished result soon led to private commissions sourcing pieces for clients and advising on interior schemes.

In 2026 she joined Danebury as both an Interior Designer, leading her own country house projects, and as a specialist sourcing decorative antiques across the studio’s work. Her experience with period houses and her refined eye complement Danebury’s approach. Katie is known for her discerning judgement, confident use of colour and textiles and her ability to source original pieces that bring warmth, depth and authenticity to a home.

About Danebury

Danebury creates authentic and considered interiors rooted in comfort, character and craftsmanship. Our work balances the traditional and the contemporary in a way that feels natural to the architecture of a house and to the people who live there. We believe thoughtful design should feel effortless, and by guiding clients clearly through each stage, we ensure the process is calm and collaborative from concept to completion.

Working from our Hampshire studio, we partner with a trusted network of skilled makers, craftspeople and specialists to bring each project to life. Our curated library of fabrics, wallpapers and finishes is always open for clients to explore, helping early ideas take shape with clarity and confidence. Much of our work comes through referrals and returning clients, reflecting the lasting relationships we build and the discretion and care that define every Danebury project.
