About Us

Katie and Sam met eight years ago in Hampshire and founded Danebury in 2024 with a shared vision to create an interior design studio where creativity is matched by meticulous attention to detail and an exceptional client experience.

Working from our studio near Stockbridge in Hampshire, we collaborate with a trusted network of makers, craftspeople and specialist suppliers, guiding projects from first ideas through to completion.

Most of our work comes through referrals and returning clients, reflecting the trust our clients place in us and the relationships we are proud to build.

Sam Goold

Sam began her career with Scott Dunn Travel, designing tailor-made holidays across Southeast Asia. It sparked a lasting fascination with how thoughtful design influences how we feel in a space. 

After retraining as a teacher and taking time out to raise her four children, Sam returned to her lifelong love of interiors. She worked as a director of an interior design studio before completing her professional training at KLC School of Design in London.

As both an interior designer and a mother, Sam understands the importance of creating homes that balance elegance with
practicality and adapt naturally to family life. Known for her thoughtful approach and attention to detail, she brings clarity and cohesion to every project, guiding clients and collaborators with warmth and focus.

Katie Bolton

Katie grew up immersed in interior design as the daughter of a respected project manager and interior designer. She started her career at Brunswick in London working in financial communications. She then left Brunswick and helped establish a new PR agency, Tulchan, working with the management teams of listed companies such as Boots and Marks & Spencer on their communications. After leaving Tulchan she then moved in house and led the Media Relations team globally for Cadbury Schweppes PLC, before moving to Hong Kong and spending more than a decade there raising her family. It was in Asia that she began exploring her love of antiques and decorative objects. On returning to the UK she embarked on a significant renovation of her own listed house. Keen to introduce a sense of layering and interest to the rooms, she sourced antiques throughout and the finished result soon led to commissions sourcing pieces for clients and advising on interior schemes.
