Our Approach

For us, the interior design process starts with understanding you, your home and how you want to live. We combine creative thinking with practical experience and technical know-how, really thinking about how rooms will flow and how they will be enjoyed, now and into the future.

From concept to completion, we want working with us to feel exciting, collaborative and enjoyable. We lead projects calmly, give honest advice and take great care over the details, big and small.

Every project is managed by Sam or Katie from beginning to end, with the support of our studio team, so that there is consistency and oversight from first ideas through to completion.

Our interiors

We layer colour, pattern, texture and pieces from different periods to give each room character, while still making sure it is in keeping with the house and works for the people who use it. 

We do not impose a signature style, we want your home to feel like it is yours. We look for balance, contrast and to add depth and layers rather than schemes where everything matches too closely.

Antiques, artwork and decorative objects are an integral part of our approach. They bring history, patina and individuality and stop a room feeling too perfect or overly designed. Our interiors feel as though they have evolved naturally over time: comfortable, individual and entirely at home in their surroundings.

Clarity around costs

Interior design projects are a significant investment. At Danebury, we ensure budgets are clear, costs transparent and you always have a clear picture of what has been spent and what is still to come.

Our own fees are equally straightforward. They are agreed from the outset based on the scope and complexity of your project, reflecting the expertise, time and work involved rather than how much you choose to spend.
