Introducing The Danebury Collection

The Danebury Collection

The Danebury Collection is a carefully curated collection of antiques, artwork and decorative pieces, chosen for their character, craftsmanship and enduring appeal. Reflecting the same principles that guide our interior design work, it celebrates objects that bring warmth, depth and chararcter to a home.

With a lifelong love of antiques and years spent sourcing for private commissions and advising on the use of decorative objects within interior schemes, Katie has spent the past few months buying pieces and building The Danebury Collection. She has scoured auction catalogues, attended antique fairs and developed relationships with dealers in search of pieces that embody everything we love about country house interiors. Pieces with history, patina and personality. Furniture and accessories that will soften the newness and help a home feel collected rather than decorated.

The Danebury Collection is a natural extension of our design philosophy. We have always believed that the most successful interiors are bought and layered over time and reflect both the character of the house and the people who live within it. Through antiques, artwork and decorative objects, we help create homes that feel personal, welcoming and enduring.

About The Danebury Collection

A note from Katie:

“The Danebury Collection is a reflection of the pieces we seek out time and again for our interior design projects and the things we genuinely love.

Each piece has been chosen because we can imagine it sitting comfortably within an country house interior. There is no strict theme, period or formula. The only real test is whether it is something we would happily have in our own homes or use within our interior design projects. In fact, it is probably a small miracle that there is anything available to purchase at all, as there have been regular debates about which pieces we would like to keep for ourselves.

We have deliberately chosen a wide range of items, from smaller decorative objects and artwork through to larger pieces of furniture. One of the things we love most about interiors is the alchemy of blending old and new together. The most successful rooms are not created through interior decoration alone. They are layered over time, shaped by collected pieces and given character through objects with history, craftsmanship and individuality.

Often, it is not the largest or most expensive item that transforms a room. A small jug filled with flowers, a pair of antique prints, a well placed lamp or a beautifully worn piece of furniture can bring warmth, personality and a level of interest that new pieces alone often struggle to achieve.

At Danebury, we are instinctively drawn to rooms rich in texture, textiles and collected pieces. We believe homes should feel lived in rather than staged, personal rather than prescribed and layered rather than perfectly coordinated. It is perhaps fair to say that we tend to err on the side of abundance rather than minimalism.

Beyond The Collection itself, we are always delighted to help source specific pieces on a consultancy basis or advise on what might be missing from a room or house. Sometimes it is a significant piece of furniture. Sometimes it is simply the right lamp, picture or antique object. More often than not, it is those finishing layers that help a house feel complete.”
